In addition to the pesticide residues outlined in the OSU publication FWO
linked, I've seen more than one case of lead/arsenic toxicity in cattle
grazing in old apple orchards, which had been sprayed with this commonly
used pesticide (Paris Green) in the distant past. Analysis of forages
collected from this orchard revealed toxic levels of both lead and arsenic.
