Hello Graze-l List Members
There have been some initial problems with the Mailman system that has
affected a few Graze-l members but these now appear to have been put right.
A general response to some queries:
PASSWORDS
The password system is in place to give you control over how posts are
delivered to you.
Multiple passwords have been sent out to members in the past week due to
start up malfunctions of the system.
To establish which is your correct password
1. Goto the Graze-l Subscribers panel at the bottom on this web page
http://graze-l.witt.ac.nz/mailman/listinfo/graze-l
2. Enter you email address in the edit options box.
3. Click "e-mail my password to me".
You will shortly receive an email of your password - this is your only
password and it will work with your subscriber address.
I recommend that members become familiar with at the Graze-l administration
and archive pages as these pages give you a number of useful controls to
personalise how the list functions for you.
ALIASED ADDRESSES
Some subscribers have over the years had new e-mail address changes that
have been aliased back to their old e-mail addresses.
Mailman requires subscriber's addresses to match their sending addresses for
posts to be accepted.
If you are having problems with rejection of posts please email me with the
problem here at graze-l-admin@witt.ac.nz
POSTING ADDRESS
The new address to post to the list is graze-l@witt.ac.nz however the old
address of graze-l@taranaki.ac.nz redirects posts to the new list address.
Personal Administrative address
Because of the volume of spam to my personal address I am using the address
graze-l@xtra.co.nz for the administration of Graze-l to enable me to better
manage by filtering this bothersome problem.
Recognition of the contribution from Taranaki
Noel Bridgeman and his staff at the Western Institute of Technology at
Taranaki are to be commended and thanked for enabling this upgrade of the
Graze-l mail system and for their continuing support hosting the system.
Its implementation will make the administration and operation of the list
for me much more effective and efficient.
I thank members of the list for tolerating the transition and look forward
to its active use.
Regards
Roy McCallum
