I have a friend who purchased a used irrigation hose reel at an
auction. with it you can pick up wire using the pto from the tractor, and
it winds very nicely. I bought some used wire from him and pulled the wire
off by hand in the same manner that a spinning jenny is used. This also
works well except in places where there are a lot of splices in the lines
and the ends were not trimmed closely.
