Granted, TB can be spread and my next door state of Michigan has had their
problems with this challenge.
Here in WI, the focus of concern is Chronic Wasting Disease, fortunately so
far found in the wild deer in a relatively small area west of Madison.
Statewide tests last year during deer hunting found no incidents outside
that area.
A study in Iowa tried to get cattle infected from an infected deer source
to see if it would cross species. CWD didn't cross from deer to cattle in
that study.
