Good Afternoon List Friends,
This may be a bit away from my usual postings but I found the internet
article below a fascinating exchange between Joseph D. Rosen, Ph.D.,
editor of "Health Facts and Fears", a publication of the AMERICAN
COUNCIL ON SCIENCE AND HEALTH, the editor of Consumer reports and some
very well informed readers.

Dr. Rosen's lead sentence is, "Warning: Reading Consumer Reports may be
dangerous to your health.".  His article and the following dialogue with
his readers, was a response to a Consumer Reports article titled "The
Truth About Irradiated Meat" (August 2003).  The article effectively
discouraged consumers from buying irradiated meat products on the basis
of health and taste.
