Complaints of no posts... Okay... :)
This didn't seem to bother the sheep. I hope everyone had a chance to
see the Northern Lights tonight! They were spectacular! If you missed
them, look again tomorrow. They were the best I've seen in decades,
even from when I lived in Alaska. They change over the course of the
night. We saw them grow from a few flares to filling the sky so
bright that the metal roof of our house looked like it was glowing
blood red and then faded to night and then pulsed up again in color.
If you look out and don't see it one time, check again later.
I got a nice photo with an interesting ring pattern. The file

I also got a nice one through the trees looking up over the ridge
along Sugar Mountain although it is lower res:

Those are stars in the background, our cloud cover cleared, and
you can see Mars in the lower right.
If you have an explination for the rings in the first picture
I would be curious to know... It's not planetary rotation...
It's not a camera artifact... So what is it... :-?
