Just read about a mini dairy plant that might be helpful for those who want to sell their own milk which was discussed earlier.
If nothing else, it might provide contacts with others who are doing so.
It is from an Israeli company called Pladot Mini Dairy. You can produce milk only or milk plus soft cheese, butter, yogurt,
ice cream, bottled milk, sour cream, and more. The average facility runs about $250,000 (US) without a building and can
process 4-5000 lbs. of milk per day.Included in the cost is advice on necessary equipment for the chosen product mix,
building setup, customized assembly, integration and test-running of all equipment as well as operation and maintenance
training.
There are more than 340 system installations worldwide with about 12 in the US.Ofra Cohen is the general manager for US
operations.Mike
Minar is a US Customer. His website is www.cedarsummit.com.
My info came from the magazine FARM SHOW (p. 9) and they can be contacted at FARM SHOW Followup, Ofra Cohen, Transmark Corp.,
6521 Wilmett Rd.,
Bethesda, MD20817, USA(ph 301-493-5963; email:
mail2tmc@comcast.net).
