This is only partly true. F.W. has already responded about using soy beans
for cattle. The raw beans can, however, be toxic to birds. Those that are
into pastured poultry on a large scale often grind/mix their own feed. Not
a few of them has made the mistake of using raw, as opposed to roasted,
beans with disastrous effects. This is usually in the form of dead or
greatly stunted birds.
