Liliana,
we use a drum mower and like it better than our previous disc mower. However
oats for silage we cut usually in the "boot stage", just before the heads
are emerging.The drum mower works just like any other mower as it cuts at
the base depending on cutting height adjustment so there would not be any
unusual losses.
