So what?
If this project leads to the day when the US tells the Middle East Oil
countries to eat their oil, cause we don't need it anymore, the investment
in developing alternative energy sources will be well worthwhile.
Let me give you one example of how far the development of ethanol
production has come so far. For every btu consumed in making ethnol (that
would be planting, harvesting, trucking the corn, then processing it in
the ethanol plant), there is a return of that btu, plus 60% more. Now
that is exciting. Further, ethanol is being developed as a component in
fuel cell technology, which is the future.
A far better investment on the part of US taxpayers, than all the foreign
aid has ever been.
