Hey Vaughan,
I am currently taking a Dairy Nutrition course. Rumensin, which is an
ionophore, facilitates the transfer of ions with in the digestive system, primarily
the rumen. I am very unclear as to what the logic would be to support a
hormonal response (particularly reproductive) to ion transfers within the digestive
system. My professor concurred with me. So, based on metabolic function, I
wouldn't think there would be a danger with a hormone response to Rumensin. :)
Anyhow, thats my 2 cents.
