Good Afternoon List Friends,
This is a pretty long URL to a press release from Promed Email, an
internet health alert service.
http://www.promedmail.org/pls/askus/f?p=2400:1202:4386877250346347692::NO::F2400_P1202_CHECK_DISPLAY,F2400_P1202_PUB

It reports on the discovery of six cases of BSE in France in which, "the
electrophoretic profiles observed in the confirmatory tests were
different from those observed in classical bovine spongiform
encephalopathy cases (apparent molecular weight of PrPSc protein,
glycoform distribution, detection using P4 monoclonal antibody."
If that URL is hard to link try the Pro Med search page:

using Feb. 2004 as the date limit and "BSE", "atypical" and "France" as
the key words.
Some very intriguing new information on BSE.
