What the vertical distance between the two points?
I use a solar powered 12 volt pump to pump water out of a
well-approximate vertical 180 ft. When it works, it works fine. There
have been some problems, but they were more in the design of the whole
system, not the components.

Good Morning,
I'm looking for ideas on how I can get water to an area of the farm
that does not have accessible water or electricity. Currently, I haul
water in a1000 gallon tank up a steep hill, which requires a fairly
large tractor. The tank works OK, but I have no back up plan in case of
rain or other unforeseen problems. There is a hydrant 2000 plus yards
away, downhill, which is where I fill the tank. Does anyone have
experience with windmills, gas pumps or solar pumps, etc.
Thanks for your time.
