>How much brucellosis is there in USA?
Not too much
>I thought that it would have been eliminated.
The wild bison are carriers in some areas as are some elk. The
various wildlife departments refuse to allow the killing of positive
wild animals so periodically the ranchers adjacent to the infected
herds get caught. Of course all the cattle are slaughtered, but no
one bothers to deal with the real issue, which is killing the wild
reservoirs of the disease.
Wild bison were the cause of the recent WY outbreak according to what I heard.
