*Did you ever read the works of F. Newman
*Turner? And if so, would you care to comment?
*Anyone?
Hi,
Actually I have read his books. And I'll review them again
over the next few evenings.
There is a lot to admire.
In general, I agree closely with him on most of his thoughts
about breeding and herdsmanship.
His ideas about nursing cows, I think, are pretty near on
the mark.
But, he just plain wrong headed about TB and Bangs. If it
had been left to F Newman Turner, we would still be
fighting these ancient horrors. He was dead wrong.
His treatments for other common diseases are, in my opinion,
a mixture of good solid common sense and unforgivable
nonsense.
However, I will reread him, maybe there will be more to
glean this time around.
