*do I need to worry about round bales of hay
*being stored in a building with some tough
*moisture spots...spots are F 135 degrees in
*the spots surrounded by F 85 degree hay in
*the rest of the bale.
Yea, you should have been worrying, because some spots you
didn't find where a lot hotter than 135F.
But since it's day five you probably won't burn down the
barn...this time.
Leave them in the field for a while next time. What's the
hurry?.
One of the advantages to big round bales is that they can go
through the sweat in the field without much risk of rain
damage.
For future....If you have hot hay in the mow, it's
sometimes better to just grit your teeth and leave it
alone. It might be OK. If you start pulling the mow apart
it might get a lot hotter fast.
Farming is frought with risk.
