We have seen a substantial increase in dock in one of our pastures this
spring. Our cattle are devouring it with great relish, but since we
produce grass finished beef and there are finishing animals grazing it,
I thought I would inquire as to any known flavor issues that dock might
present. Perhaps some of you dairy folks would know...seems like the
effects of off flavors shows up more quickly in milk.
The sward is also composed of E-free fescue, cheatgrass, red clover,
alfalfa and a smattering of white clover.
