Today all the piglets came out of their nests into the fields and even
up to the house. Such a horde of them! Saturn was on the one hand in
7th Heaven with so many charges to look after and on the other hand at
wits end trying to keep all 26 of them in a tight group and not
wandering away. The third group came up the South field hill to him and
it was such a perfect picture. He was standing on the crest and they
were marching up through the low brush single file toward him. The
piglets got to him and all bunched up together right in front of him in
a semi-circle like they were lining up for inspection. He touched noses
with several and then led them up the hill to join the others.

Kita dog still isn't sure if they're to be guarded or eaten. They look
so yummy but she's been told they are babies and to be protected. Such
a dilemma! It is only a quick swallow between a kiss and dinner. She
has the same quandary about the new kitten. She likes cats... She likes
to clean it, nibbling away at the kittens fur. But those big teeth are
just a short bite away... Nibble, nibble, kiss, kiss, nibble, kiss,
nibble, kiss... The kitten hasn't objected so far, and is still able to
voice her opinion, so far... :)

Her sister Kia, my princess, is much more mellow than Saturn or Kita
but has no trouble moving the piglets around. She moves in slowly and
everybody just does what she wants. No jumping or squealing. Each of
them have their own style.

Here's some pages of piglet pictures. Enjoy!
