Dave F, I still don't understand why Dave G and Dick C are forced to
endure major, negative price swings at the convenience of our
'processors'? Have you ever had the opportunity to share thoughts with
kids? Over 75 kids/year come here to learn about rotational grazing--
they'd all love to farm, but the common question--'Mr. Conklin, How can
we make any money?' Dick

Our farm is a constant tour site for not only plenty of kids but plenty
of young college students looking for opportunities in agriculture
without just being an employee all their life. I use Scott and guys like
Bernie as an example of what they can do. Dick, you said you were a
first generation farmer, that's a success story as well, tell the kids
that.
I'm a third generation farmer, and we're supposed to be the ones who
throw it away, actually I paid a fair price to the last two generations
and although I struggled for a long time that struggle made me better at
what I do.
