Hi Everyone
Well since I'm sick of studying, and I love genetics so much, I thought I'd
ask the question of what are some of your favourite bulls over the years -
the ones with daughters that make you smile as they walk into the parlour,
or perhaps never pose a problem and so are barely ever noticed. Bulls that
if you could go back in time you would just about mate your whole herd to
them!!! (They can be from any country).
Brightwater DC Carl is on my list, his daughters were extremely capacious,
always in top condition, our best producers, and lasted ages.
Dawsons Belvedere is another favourite. And also Gloaming SS Forever and
Williams Lord Norman. (I don't know the older bulls too well).
Oh and Numans Lord Nelson (since we bred him!!!) ;)
I have a lot of current favourites, but they havent stood the test of time
yet have they!!
I must say I know 'Hugo' is one of the most popular Friesians, but i find
that his daughters have a tendency to look very tall, thin and hairy, which
I find unappealing, they dont have much of a show cow look to them.
Well this should be intersting!
