Govt. will be involved in farming because businesses have a vested interest
in what farms produce. As I posted, Brazil is ramping up subsidies to
save their soybean farmers. Cargill, Bunge are the major grain companies
with plants in Brazil and you can bet they've "contributed" to
Brazil's
politicians.
Just as world dairy policies are "influenced" by Nestle, Kraft and
Unilever.
The mega-multinational corporations want cheap and plentiful raw materials.
The subsidies are actually for the corporations, not the farmers.
