Hi Aaron,
Honey Locust (smooth bark) and a very thorny native locust (also smooth
bark) are favorite browse of our goats. They strip the bark, eat the
leaves, and in the fall eat the pods with relish. We have enough of the
thorny locust that the goats are on full feed of locust pods in the fall and
early winter.
We do not have black locust on our farms.

Does anyone have experience with goats, that can tell me if they will
browse on black locust (or other poisonous plants) when there is plenty of
other non-toxic plants to eat?
Thanks,
