Sorry, but I use portable solar chargers, and the ground rod is in the
soil for only a few months at a time, so we've not seen any major
failures so far. We do have one mains-powered fence charger, whiixh is
grounded via a copper lightening-rod ground system . (All of our barn
structures have elaborate circa 1910 lightening rod systems, with
massive grounds in each corner of the structure--it reminds me of Mark
Twain's Essay on Politcal Economy, which I will post here if anyone asks.
