Did they allow for lameness, short cow life, etc.

The US government told us 14 years ago that subsidies would be eliminated
within seven years, but it has not happened. Will confinement, and indeed
dairying except for pasture-fed, survive with no subsidies - of grain in
particular?

Australia also exports surpluses and New Zealand already supplies the other
countries here.

WTO has tried to stop dumping of subsidised food, but failed, so USA exports
some of its subsidised maize (corn) half way round the world to here and
lowers our prices and to South Africa where it has put some of their maize
growers out of business, despite their growing it for a hundred years.
