Hi all
Vaughan introduces a bit of history here;
"Some might think that controlled grazing is new. The following written by
John Anderson of Scotland shows it is not."
I cannot resist going back even further for organise pasture
management -5000 years in fact.
The Ceide fields in NW Ireland threw a lot of theories on Neolithic farming
practice back into the pot when they were uncovered. They are a large system
of fields approx 5000 years old, of sizes ranging from small paddocks to 17
acres, used for grazing cattle.
Heres some links;

It is extraordinary to see controlled pasture farming systems with a gap of
5000 years between them.
