Our cows (in South West Michigan) generally won't touch fescue. I have
always been of the opinion that it depends upon the herd. Some herds love
it, others won't touch it. I've understood this from talking with other
farmers at grazing conferences. So it may be that you're doing everything
right, and your cows are just picky!
