To add to Sumner, I think in terms of the way we market it's easier
to do some of both. They also complement each other in other ways,
in grazing, in cows with calves providing protection for ewes with
lambs from predators.

PS Sheep don't use the nose pump, but seem fairly happy about eating
snow - though there are quite a few who do appreciate their liquid
water. And if it's icy or bare ground, and they are eating hay, they
do need water provided. Not, generally, when they are grazing,
except when have lambs with them.
