Hi,
Hi All,
I've forwarded both Bob's & MJ's comments to Larry Zilliox about
the apple bagging project. Larry *did* mention earwigs as a minor
problem when we talked about it.
Larry did comment that some years the apple maggot populations
won't warrant bagging. But you know that in the fall. In one of the
earlier years reports, cutting the corners off was recommended.
I'd like to commend both Bob & MJ for thoughtful discussions on the
success/failure of the experiment. Their comments about the
damage on the sunny side of the tree should be noted when passing
on the suggestion.
It's an intriguing idea.
BTW, a box of those apples that the U got wound up in the Y & G
Clinic. I took the runty, malformed, etc. picked-overs and made a
couple of pans of apple nut bread that the Clinic staffers enjoyed.
So, thanks! <g>
