Hi Carolyn : Just about all of the oaks we grow here can have leaves
that persist through winter. Some years it may be red oaks and then it
may be bur or white. Bicolor oaks also get into the act. It appears to
me that either they take turns for the winter dress review or it is
written into their union contract as to who is to display for the
winter! MikeZ

Good day everyone! Some weather we had this weekend, I really hope my
12 foot Arborvitae's recover from the weight of the snow. One actually
was laying down in my garden, ouch! Anyway, my simple question that I
can't seem to find the answer for is what Oak tree holds it's leaves
through the winter? I have been told that it might be a Red Oak.
Thanks
Carolyn K
