Does anyone have the numbers for the amount of "full sun" typical for a
Minnesota summer, and the numbers for what "full sun" means to a plant?
Many to most of our "shade plants" seem to do very well, if not better, in
full sun, including some hosta. I have even seen beautiful Impatiens in
full sun (with automatic irrigation). Maybe we should change our thinking
to shade "tolerant" which is how many plants are listed.
