Mary Meyer here:
As I understand it, many counties are still deciding what Extension
positions to fill as of January 1, 2004. I would like all counties to
fund someone who would manage MG at a local level, but that is not
likely to happen. Regardless of who is hired at the county level, you as
an individual can still volunteer and work in your community as a MG
using the state guidelnes. Some counties have had little MG management
in the past.
In the coming weeks I will be providing guidelines for MG depending
on who is hired in each of the counties. At the State level, we are
continuing to plan the Core Course as usual. Thanks for asking and I
look forward to hearing from more counties.
