I don't think they're available for home gardeners. I spoke W/Dr. Thill, our
potato breeder, about them some time ago. (A recap might be in the Mastgar
archives. Or, it might have been mentioned in the article I did on him in a
back issue of the Y & GL News, in 1999 or 2000, I think). He said the
companies that sell the Bt seed potatos to growers license them. And sell
them fresh "seed" every year. Home gardeners? Eh, who hasn't kept a few
potatoes and used them for seed the following year? There's no way the big
companies can/would bother license seed potatoes to home gardeners and
so they don't.
