Five/six years ago Jung Seed Company sold the Bt genetically modified
potatoes. They did eliminate my potato beetle problem. I decided that I did
not want to eat potatoes that contain Bt so I only used them once. I have
not seen them for sale to home gardeners since. You can buy the Bt as a
spray. I know that Jung sells it as Colorado Potato Beetle Beater. I am sure
you can also buy it at garden centers. What you want to get is bacillus
thuringiensis var. san diego. Be aware that it only works on the larval
stage of the beetle not the adult beetles.
