Hi Hank,
Harpoon traps are relatively easy to set, available at most hardware stores,
and not very expensive.
To be successful, step down all the mole runs that you see, and then watch
them carefully off and on over the next day to see where they rise up first.
As you carefully shovel the soil off in that area you will see a round hole
going straight down into the ground - THAT is were you want to set the trap.
Follow the directions on the box to set the trap.
And before anyone complains about cruelty to animals, just think about the
difference of a quick clean end versus being gassed to death by auto
exhaust, getting stopped up with chewing gum, or poisoning from castor oil.
