I've been asked by nursing home staff about appropriate plants for
families/friends to give to residents. So often the beautiful azalea
or mum lasts only a couple of weeks or less in the warm, fairly dry
atmosphere of the nursing home, even with sufficient water. It is
generally not possible for staff to care for residents' plants in the
same way one would care for plants at home.
Does anyone have any recommendations for something attractive other
than ivy, pothos and peace lilies?
I've searched various websites and looked through the materials I
have but I know that this group has some good resources I'm not
currently aware of.
Thanks for any suggestions.
