You were right on the money when you said that you thought the MALB were
motivated more by day length than by warm days following frost. Fall 2003
and 2004 couldn't be more different. However, last year the home invasion
started here in Kandiyohi County on September 30th. And sure enough, here
they came this afternoon - on September 30th. Not in the numbers as in
2003, but today was the first time I saw them trying to dive inside when
the doors were opened. (Our only frost was the morning of August 21st and
we have had MANY warm days since.)
