Any allotments round where you are to put up a notice in to ask for a chook
sitter? Given that they are into regularity of care of a remote site by
having an allotment then they may be prepared to look after your chooks in
return for the eggs, some manure and perhaps a small renumeration for the
time you are away???? Worth a try maybe.
