We used battery powered fencing to control cattle and camels on our
previous property. It was just a 12v car battery with a solar
panel(18"x36") and regulator to charge it during the day which made it
virtually maintenance free after the wildlife and stock learnt about
electric fencing. The one battery and solar panel powered 8 miles of
three-strand suspension fencing. I don't know much about netting fences
but they seem to do okay from what I've read.
I envy you being off the grid.
