I'm sending along two stories today, both related to the egg industry,
which according to Erik Marcus in his recent book 'Meat Market' may
cause the most suffering of any of the animal product industries.
This first article is from Ann Arbor News and is about the cooking/taste
differences between fresh and factory farmed eggs. This is a good
opportunity to follow up with a letter about the cruelty of factory
farmed eggs. They're just asking for it!

This second article is from a news station in PA. It doesn't allow
letters in response, but it shows what animal rights activists are up
against when they do undercover investigations. It doesn't seem like
this group did a lot of planning, which is unfortunate, because they may
have unwittingly carried diseases with them into the sheds. It's worth
reading anyway.
