Writers,
Here are three articles worth checking out.
1. Letter in Minnesota Daily: "An ineffective trend"
http://www.mndaily.com/articles/2006/04/12/67994
This letter to the editor in today's Daily criticizes activism against
Coke and battery cage eggs suggesting that making a "real difference" is
about changing only "our own lives for the better." Certainly, both of
these causes affect many lives.
Letters in response (100-250 words) can be sent to letters@mndaily.com.
Remember to include your name, work/school status, and phone number.
2. Op-ed in The Washington Post: When Animals Suffer, So Do We
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/11/AR2006041101511.html
This article provides a great opportunity to respond with facts on
factory farming.
The Post's guidelines for submissions can be found here:

3. Article in The University Register (at U of M Morris): Controversial
philosopher addresses crowd at the U

This article ran on April 2nd, but it provides much different coverage
of the Peter Singer talk than ran in the Minnesota Daily. It's
definitely worth checking out.
Consider writing a note of thanks to register@morris.umn.edu.
