Editorials/Opinions Editor
Enjoy working with and presenting diverse points of view? Do you enjoy
controversy and lively debate over issues affecting students at the U of
M under a deadline? Then we have a position for you!
The Minnesota Daily is pleased to announce an opportunity for an
individual to join our award-winning staff as an Editorials/Opinons
Editor. This individual will be responsible for the appearance and
content of the Opinions page, including layout of the page, selection of
content, and public relations. Our Editorials/Opinions Editor works
closely with the Editorial Board, the Readers Representative,
columnists, and the Daily cartoonist/illustrator.
The successful candidate for this position will have one year of proven
writing experience coupled with exceptional communication skills and the
ability to deal with deadlines. Training and mentoring effectively are
also important roles of this position. Must be a University of Minnesota
student for consideration.
