Writers,
This is a good evening to fire off some quick letters to the editor.
Here are some stories worth responding to.
1. Podcasts keep vegetarians in the loop
http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060507/LIFE10/605070321/1006/LIFE
This is an informative article on veg podcasts. It could be stated,
though, that non-veg peeps have a lot to learn from them too!
Letters: yourviews@app.com (as always include your name, address, and
phone number)
2. How Michael Pollan ruined my life
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2006/05/07/INGRFIL0AK1.DTL
Good piece on Michael Pollan (author of the new book "The Omnivore's
Dilemma"). A letter emphasizing the need to consider animal well-being
or a letter plugging Peter Singer's new book might be in order here.

3. Hen Activist Says the War on Cages Will Go On
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/07/nyregion/07hens.html
This piece is on the recent court case of Wegman's v. Adam Durand for
investigating their farm. A letter emphasizing the scope of the battery
egg problem may be in order.

Good luck!
