Hi everyone,

I've gotten some emails back about confusion about what the writer's group
does.

A lot of what we do is monitor the news about anything dealing with Animal
Rights issues or vegetarianism/veganism. The most effective thing is to
monitor a newspaper. For instance today we read an article by the Pioneer
Press about the hardships of family farming, which can be read here:

http://www.twincities.com/national/ci_6111422

There are a couple of points that could be made, the most important being
that family farming has been completely dwarfed by factory farming. So this
article could be related to animal rights issues. For the Pioneer press,
Letters to the Editor are emailed to letters at pioneerpress.com

If a couple people could send in a letter to the editor in response to this
article that would be great. In order for the PP to consider a letter for
publication, they need your full name (at least two initials and the last
name) and your city of residence for publication; in addition, to that they
need your street address and daytime phone number, not for publication.
Please send your letter as plain text in the body of the e-mail, not as an
attachment. Letters should not be more than 150 words, and letters are
subject to editing.

Also of note, I would still like to meet up with all of you because then we
can meet face to face, answer any questions you might have and the process
and have a good time. It's not a logistical meeting at all, it's just to
get you all together and get to know you. I am planning on meeting on
Monday, June 19th or Tuesday June 20th at around 5:00 PM, tell me which
time works best for you or if we might need to move it earlier or later.

Cheers, Chance
